About the IndiGo Cadet AME Programme

The IndiGo Cadet AME Programme is a structured ab initio Aircraft Maintenance Engineering pathway designed to prepare aspiring AMEs for a professional career with IndiGo Airlines.
Selected candidates receive:

  • DGCA approved CAR 147 (Basic) AME training
  • Letter of Intent (LOI) from IndiGo (based on eligibility & performance)
  • Clear pathway to AME licence and career readiness

Upon successful completion of the programme and fulfilment of conditions mentioned in the LOI, cadets may be inducted as Junior Cadet AMEs with IndiGo, after which their journey toward becoming a licensed AME formally begins.

This programme enables students to pursue AME training at TIAT, Mumbai, while aligning closely with IndiGo’s engineering and operational standards.
